Full-Time Licensed Clinical Therapist Job Description

The Licensed Clinical Therapist will provide in-person outpatient individual therapy and group therapy to patients of HandinHand Counseling Services, LLC, located at 10 Duff Rd. Suite 201 in the Penn Hills section of Pittsburgh. Option of telehealth services as needed. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, adolescents, and families. Treatment specialties may include: children, trauma, EMDR, family. Reports to Clinical Director. 


Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work, with:
  • Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT,  LPC or LSW) in the State of Pennsylvania.  A copy must be provided to HandinHand Counseling Services. 
  • Available to hold at least a minimum of 28 sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by HandinHand Counseling Services.
  • Approved as an in-network provider on at least two HandinHand affiliated insurance panels.



Pay Range and Benefits:

$33- $52/clinical hr

Preferred Qualifications
:

  • Experience facilitating workshops.
  • Prior experience in a private practice setting.
  • At least three years of experience working directly with clients.
  • Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, DBT, etc.).
  • Training in providing distance counseling from an accredited training program.



Work Hours and Schedule

Work hours and schedule may vary depending on office availability and patient availability.  Hours include some nights and/or weekends. However, it is expected that the Licensed Clinical Therapist will be available to hold at least 28 clinical sessions per week. Patient sessions are held in the offices of HandinHand Counseling Services. 


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs in-person (with possible telehealth) clinical counseling services to patients of HandinHand, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies. 
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for HandinHand. 
  • Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the HandinHand website. 
  • Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients. 
  • Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
  • Complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by HandinHand or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within 24 hours. 
  • Keep patient files accurate and up to date.
  • Charge and collect payments from patients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by HandinHand.
  • Attend mandatory individual and group supervisions, staff meetings and training as directed by HandinHand.
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the reputation of HandinHand.  Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers
  • Other duties which may be assigned by HandinHand.
