Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Position Overview
HandinHand Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced licensed therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized therapy to individuals, families, and groups. We're looking for a clinician with a strong foundation in mental health principles, a commitment to supporting clients through their healing journey, and experience with trauma-informed care. Experience with EMDR and/or other trauma modalities (CPT, IFS, DNMS, Brainspotting, or TF-CBT) is a plus.
This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support client healing and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-person and potential telehealth evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify trauma impacts on clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing each client's specific needs.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed and develop safety plans for at-risk clients.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions as appropriate.
- Provide psychoeducation to clients, families, and peers on trauma impacts.
- Respond to service requests within 24 hours, regardless of communication channel.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records in compliance with all standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and supervision.
- Stay current with trauma therapy research and best practices through continuing education.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance with timely arrival.
- Abide by all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical codes.
- Conduct services professionally to uphold HandinHand's reputation.
- Work respectfully and collaboratively with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LSW) in Pennsylvania.
- Experience working with trauma survivors (specialized training in EMDR, CPT, IFS, DNMS, or TF-CBT is a plus).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a clinical mental health setting.
- Strong understanding of trauma's impact on mental health and behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Availability to conduct at least 28 sessions weekly (subject to referral availability).
- Approved as an in-network provider on at least two HandinHand-affiliated insurance panels.
Working Conditions
- Office setting with potential for teletherapy sessions.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to accommodate client needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- $37-$52 per clinical hour.
